I want to say that I would have given 5 stars had it been only my experience rating this hotel. I stayed there for a week and my mom who came a week before me stayed there for 2 weeks. To me the staff were very friendly and helpful, room was cleaned and updated , the location was perfect. However, My 82 year old mom who checked in this hotel a week before me had a very negative experience with one staff person. She shares that this particular staff member was unprofessional, disrespectful and had even hostile tone towards her upon her check in. Second, we booked a taxi pick up through the hotel for her and she states the vehicle was filthy and in very poor condition. It is unfortunate that after the potato van ride, the particular staff happened to check her in and further created a bad first impression. My mom is 82 and has been traveling for several years mostly on her own through out Europe. Luckily, she hasn’t had this type of experience before , let alone in a place that specializes in hospitality. As an elderly and a solo traveler, experiencing feeling welcomed where she lands is very important and colors her experience of that place.With that said, this was an isolated incidence in this hotel. All other staff were extremely kind and helpful to my mom and me. Shout out to Amber and another professional young lady (maybe named Nina) who were both so sweet and went above and beyond for her. Thank you to them as they made up for what went bad.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is convenient; right next to the Sabokerk in the center of the town.

Everything was excellent. Exceptionally clean and extremely well located for restaurants,cafes and activities.

Watch out! If you arrive early and the room happens to be ready, you have to pay extra per hr basis up to official check in time in order to get into your room that is ready.

Good room. Good staff. Easy walk to train station. Easy access to eating places and bars

This hotel is awesome! The location is perfect and the staff are also first class. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Haarlem and I would also recommend staying here instead of Amsterdam. You will pay 3x the price in Amsterdam for this quality of hotel and Amsterdam is only a 20 minute train ride away. People are much nicer and more relaxed in Haarlem also.

This hotel is well located. Staff were great. Our room was okay. The bathroom was very nice. However both my wife and I felt the beds were lacking. Not comfortable at all. The pillows were not good. We felt that the bedding was second rate. The room was quiet. Except for when there was any activity in the central core. It’s designed to allow sound to travel. I would not categorize this property as “4 star”. 3 star for sure.

This wobderful hotel is very well located right in the centre of Haarlem, close to restaurants, shops and the canal. All the staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and pleasant. Our room was large, we'll appointed and the bed was very comfortable. The only slight issue was with the air-conditioning (or climate control as one of the staff explained) which was unable to keep the room at a comfortable temperature during the hotish spell (25C) during our visit. The staff offered us a large fan which did something to alleviate the heat but we found it too noisy to leave on at night. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay there again but possibly when the weather is a bit cooler!

What a lovely hotel! Beautiful domed ceiling over the lobby stairs. We were welcomed with a friendly reception desk and given an early check-in. The location is so perfect to explore this charming city. Canals with regular short cruises, charming streets with excellent shops and a lovely town square surrounded with an outstanding choice of restaurants. Would highly recommend a stay here.
