Not very impressed with general service received. Emails answered either no real care. Staff at desk seemed not happy or interested to assist. I wanted to extend my trip for two night but desk could not help as they did not quite understand - suggesting no rooms available (thinking I needed the same room?) I was quoted an upgrade to a room for approx 7500TWD but I could book with a third party online for 5500TWD, once again they did not want to assist. I chose to extend my trip with another property and checked out. There was one person very helpful for another matter, she went beyond expectations. (TIFFANY). Thanks to her

I stayed at City Suites Taipei Nandong for my entire trip to Taipei, and unfortunately, my experience on my final day was very disappointing. A few days before I checked out, I experienced a problem with the lock on my room door. I contacted the front desk, and a staff member replaced my key card. Although the new card worked, the door lock made an unusual sound every time I locked it. I mentioned the issue, but nothing further was done to inspect or repair the lock. I also noticed staff members spending a considerable amount of time looking at their phones instead of appearing attentive to guests. I understand that equipment can fail, but how a hotel responds to problems is what leaves a lasting impression. Unfortunately, this experience fell well below the level of service I expected from a hotel where I stayed for my entire visit. I hope the management will improve both its maintenance procedures and its customer service so that future guests do not have the same experience.

I contacted the front desk, and the only solution they offered was to move me to another room. After staying in the same room for a week, all of my belongings were unpacked and spread throughout the room. Packing everything and moving to another room just before dinner was extremely inconvenient and stressful. I was disappointed that there was no attempt to repair the lock or offer a more practical solution to a problem that had already been reported three days earlier. What made the experience even more frustrating was the attitude of some of the staff. I found them to be rude and dismissive rather than empathetic. On several occasions, I also noticed staff members spending a considerable amount of time looking at their phones instead of appearing attentive to guests.
