Our family of five paid approximately $600 per night for two rooms, and this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had. The rooms felt like hot saunas with no thermostat or temperature controls, no fans, and very poor water pressure in the showers. When we asked to be moved to rooms with windows that open, we were told the hotel was fully booked. The only solution offered was a fan, which I had to specifically request for my children’s room. Sleeping comfortably should not require guests to beg for basic necessities. The photos and descriptions on Expedia are misleading and do not accurately reflect the condition or comfort of the rooms. Had we known what to expect, we would have booked elsewhere. Unfortunately, we were told that if we left, we would have to go through customer service for any possibility of a refund. For the price we paid, the accommodations were completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this property unless significant improvements are made and the listing accurately reflects what guests can expect.

Fantastic location and value for money. Reception on arrivial upgraded us to a window room in view of the heat, which was very very appreciated 🙏. Next time I come to Manchester I will be checking availability here first 👍.

The room itself was very clean, which I appreciated. My main issue was the temperature. The room became uncomfortably hot, and without proper air conditioning it was difficult to cool down. Even with two fans provided, the room remained too warm for a comfortable stay. In hindsight, it’s a reminder to check that a room has a window or adequate air conditioning before booking.

The staff were very responsive. I really enjoyed my visit.

The inside room had no aircon and just had a desktop fan. It was 33 degrees inside the room. We had to keave tbe room door open to get some cool air in. The staff member said he could not move us as tbe hotel was fully booked, but you could book a room online. There wasnt even a bar of soap in the bathroom. The shower poured water onto tbe taps and floor, I have sent this to Britania Hotels. Even after sweating so much the bed was soaked, we couldnt shower. By far, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, in my life. When i told my Manager what hotel I stayed in he laughed and said, i could have saved you the pain, he stayed there with the same ecperiance some time before. And, to add insult to injury, if I had booked with Britania direct, it would have been half price. Hotel a joke, Expedia, a rip off. Dont bother with either. It spoilt, what should have been a special night, and you cant turn the clock back. Be warned, stay well away.
