Family of 3. 7th floor. Clean room. Polite staff. Little English. Good WiFi. Great breakfast. Great amenities.

This room is indeed small; the bathroom has a very large window, and it looks really strange from the bedroom when you're taking a shower.

Smooth check-in. Rooms are cleaned daily. Nice property.

Good size room, ample room amenities, near to shopping sites, ample breakfast buffet, good value in Dotonbori.

The hotel is situated just steps away from Dotonbori so shops and restaurants are always near. Kuromon, Shinsaibashi-suji, the underground mall at Namba . . . they're all within easy walking distance. The area surrounding the hotel has lots of night clubs so families with children may want to keep that in mind. You are in the heart of a very popular tourist area. If you want someplace that's a little less crowded or quiet you might want to look elsewhere. My room had a slight damp odor and wasn't exactly the cleanest when I arrived but after a housekeeping visit, everything was fine. The standard room was also quite large. It had a wide desk, a chair and large bed. The bathroom was also larger than in most Japanese hotels. The breakfast buffet had a very wide variety of hot and cold food. There is a separate beverage area that is also very well stocked. Laundry machines are located on even numbered floors. Unlike others I've used, these machines did a very good job of drying my clothes. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. From check in, luggage transfers, general questions and check out; they were wonderful. Given overall experience and value, I would happily return to this hotel.

This is the crowded place I have ever stayed. Many restaurants nearby but overpriced compared to other area. I would tour around here but prefer a quiet place to stay. Room is compact, common in Japan. Overpriced for holiday inn standard.

Overall I would never stay here again or recommend it to others. It was disgusting. Room: My room was not well kept. The floor was stained, the chair was stained, the furniture was busted up, the toilet leaked. My room wreaked of cigarette smoke, like someone had just smoked in it and left. It was hard to be in the room. When I brought this up to the staff they just apologized, but did nothing else. Breakfast: Good selection of Japanese and Western style breakfast, but not the best tasting. It was what you'd expect for a cheap continental breakfast. Location: Easy walking to shopping, food, and trains. However, it was in a very dirty area. Also, in the middle of a "red light district". If you are coming back to the hotel after dark the street is lined with women holding signs all the way up to the hotel. Now imagine doing that with kids and young teens. Staff: Helpful for storing luggage when we arrived before rooms were ready. No one spoke English so there was some trouble communicating without Google Translate.

The staff was the least friendly out of several hotels across Japan, but it was the busiest location so maybe just overworked. Also, it's near the shopping and food areas, but it's also center of the red light district. Many ladies all along the wall up to the hotel. Maybe it's your thing, but if your a family with kids maybe somewhere else. Breakfast was ok.
