Muir Woods og Sausalito halvdagstur

Dette er en flott tur for de som ikke ønsker å reise for lenge. Oppmøtetiden klokken 10 er veldig praktisk, og for forretningsreisende eller de som bare ønsker en halvdagsutflukt, er dette et perfekt valg. Guiden Joe har lang erfaring og delte mange interessante historier om San Franciscos historie, Muir Woods og Sausalito underveis. Muir Woods er fantastisk, en skog full av positiv energi og fytoncider. Stiene er veldig tilgjengelige, og for de som er vant til å trene eller gå i fjellet, er dette bare en skogstur. Den passer også for eldre og barn. Du kan velge å ta fergen tilbake til San Francisco fra Sausalito mot et tillegg i prisen. This was a bus journey across the iconic Golden gate bridge then stayed 10minutes to marvel the stunning views of SF bay and bathroom break. Then our next destination was the Muir Woods National monument, with entry tickets included by driver/speaker. He will leave you to explore the park at your own pace for 90minutes. Then, the bus will drop you off to the delightful coastal town of Sausalito. Very nice and relaxing place. We had lunch there and took our time to explore the town. The ferry fare is included so you can extend your stay at Sausalito before returning to SF. The ferry ride gives you views of the Alcatraz Island and takes about 20-minutes ride. Docking at Pier 41, in the heart of Fisherman’s wharf.

Amazingly fresh air at Muir Woods. This tour allows 90mins of exploring the woods with entrance fee included unlike some others with only 30mins and separately paid entrance fee. Tour bus arrives and leaves on time.

Muir Woods er kjølig og vakkert om morgenen. Å gå blant de gigantiske kystredwoodtrærne er fantastisk, og minner oss om naturens skjønnhet. Deretter tok vi en kort tur til Sausalito hvor vi gikk en rask tur og spiste lunsj (på egen hånd). Vi setter pris på guiden som ga oss gode tips om hva vi skulle se og hvor vi skulle spise.

Pick up and drop off was at very convinient locations. Guide was really informative and made the ride there fun. Really enjoyed Muir Woods and wouldn’t have been able to get there without joining a tour as there’s no signal there to get out.

Had a great time on this tour! The pick up point near fisherman's wharf was convenient and right opposite a nice little cafe. The tour guide at muir Woods was really fun and was full of fun facts. The woods itself was gorgeous and the drive up is worth it. Sausalito is a quaint little place by the sea, stunning views. I took the ferry transfer back and stayed a bit longer as I had lunch there. Ended up back at Pier 39 around 3pm. Perfect way to spend the afternoon!

Another aspect to consider was the limited dining options during the tour. While a snack was provided, having more choices for a meal in Sausalito would have added to the overall experience. Despite these minor considerations, the Muir Woods and Sausalito Half Day tour is a wonderful way to escape the urban hustle and immerse oneself in the tranquility of ancient redwoods and coastal charm. The convenience of a guided tour made it stress-free, and the memories created will undoubtedly linger for a long time. If you have an appreciation for nature and want a glimpse of coastal charm, this tour is a solid choice.

The tour was good and decent. With great explaination by the tour guide who was eventually our bus driver too. Muir woods was a good spot nothing much to do in Sausalito. Overall good experience in half day tour.

Pick-up was on time. the bus we used was clean and cozy. I am amazed to see the red woods, tallest tree in the world.
