Batiklagingskurs i Ubud

they didnt know about my booking. had to wait 30min for the teacher to arrive and he spoke minimal english. the beeswax is hot and runny so you need to have good control with the brush, the coloured ink bleeds strong and colors are limited - they mixed orange for me and it was really bright pigment that overpowered the green and blues. you wont see the final colors until its dried completely which will take a few hours depending on the weather. it was a good introductory experience. i would like to try again but will pick a different studio.

I was the only student there with a friendly teacher who taught me how to create my own piece. The view is gorgeous there too. You can overlook the lush green rice field too.

Good batik making experience. Fun and interesting process especially seeing the end project. Venue is quite warm. Will be good if they can install some ceiling fans.

位置很偏僻，適合靜心做體驗，老師解說有耐心！時程有些長，如果可以選擇布尺寸作圖會更好！這裡有不錯且平價的餐點可以選擇！沒有空調是唯一缺點！

주변 환경이 너무 조용하고 좋아요! 전통 방식이라 녹인 왁스로 선을 그리는데 생각보다 어려워요. 선택할 수 있는 색도 많이 없어서 아쉬웠지만 재밌었습니다. 매우 만족스러운 경험이었습니다.

蠻有趣的，但花的時間比想像長很多，大約4小時，不過老師很有耐心，旁邊也有附設餐廳，休息時間（等蠟染乾的時候）可以點餐享用，好吃又便宜。

One of the most fulfilling cultural art experiences I’ve ever had where you not only get to create your own artistic expression but learn the history of batik with such an amazing instructor. He not only walks you through the steps of the process, demonstrating the art form, but he also will assist you creating your own masterpiece given his love and expertise in batik making.

Great experience, we were supposed to do batik making but the teacher was sick so we did wood carving instead but we enjoyed it a lot!

第一步是先將蠟融化，融化以後再拿工具在布上面畫出線條(新手不易控制力道，建議畫圖前先參考網路圖片)，畫完以後再將布染色，如果蠟的線條有畫好，顏料不會亂暈開(建議整張部都塗滿顏色，因為下一個步驟會把蠟去除，蠟去除以後線條就會呈現布的白色)，染完顏色以後將布放到熱水中融化。另外，須注意體驗位置離烏布市區有一段距離。

I took my 5-year old daughter and the teacher was quite helpful assisting her with the wax step. we had a great time and are happy with our artwork. THe only downside was that too many people were registered and only one teacher.
