Izu Shaboten Zoo-billett i Shizuoka

Had a really fun day feeding the animals! Loved that we could pet the capybaras and feed so many of the animals, especially the red panda. The animal food is a bit overpriced, but understandable since it helps with the upkeep of the zoo. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the whole experience.

very very good experience! all the animals are super cute! they have snacks for the animes but need to pay cost about 100-300 yen depending on the types of animal. They even have area where you can pet cappybara and others as well. Ticket is cheaper here as recommended by other reviews!

There’s loads to see in this zoo, it’s a bit off the beaten track but worth it. the capybaras here are the main exhibit and you can even pet them and feed them. I would recommend about 3/4 hours here.

the zoo is suitable for all ages if you like cactus and animals. beware of the bus schedules and train schedules, as it’s not like the city, it may take 30-an hour for each transportation. love the capybara!

This is simply one of the best zoos and close experiences to animals I have had in my entire life (and I love animals). The scenery of the park is beautiful, there are activities also nearby and the park itself is incredibly great! Not only because you get to touch and feed the capybaras, but also because there are so many more animals that you can also feed and touch! All animals seem to be well taken care of and happy, a lot of them can roam freely within their environments and the onset capybara was the cutest! A must do activity for any animal lover

was a trek to get to the zoo but so worth the travel out! the zoo was well maintained and the animals were not held in captivity. roam around freely and very interactive with humans. pets are also allowed in the zoo. will definitely go back again

best place to be if you love animals or a zoologist. added bonus is for horticulturalist that's into cacti which I'm surprised by the variety of cactus. and the animals are quite up close and some are lively. but didn't have the time explore so may come back in the future. and forgot to mention there's a good view of Fuji mountain.

A great spot for families or anyone who is a animal lover! You can touch and feed some of the animals there and some of them even walk freely around the zoo! Quite a few unusual animals resident there such as Capybaras who will bathe in Onsen during winter period (around mid Nov through early April). The souvenir shop is a delight too!
