Koreansk folkekunst tradisjonell maleklasse (Minhwa) i Seoul

My 18yr old daughter and I decided to do this painting class together and I’m so glad we did! Location was easy to find - on the right side of the eMart24 is a door and it’s on the 2nd floor. The studio is bright and inviting. The teacher has many years of experience with Minhwa painting and was very patient, knowledgeable, and kind. She was also very flexible with changing our original choice of painting and gave us explanations of the symbolic meanings behind each original piece. We had about 2.5 hrs to finish our paintings which is the minimum I would allocate for this in order to best enjoy the experience. I had time to browse some of her paintings she had on display at the studio and was immediately drawn to two that I ended up taking home :) Out of all the things we did in the month we were in Korea, this was definitely one of our favorite memories!!

I had such an amazing experience taking this Minhwa painting class! The teacher was incredibly kind, patient, and welcoming. She taught me how to properly use the brushes and explained the techniques so well, even helping me correct my technique along the way. We ended up talking for what felt like forever haha! She was so interesting to talk to and is very curious about other countries and has traveled quite a lot. She also speaks English very well, which made the experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. The class was supposed to be two hours, but she kindly stayed and helped me for a little longer so I could finish my painting. I really appreciated how much care and attention she gave me. It was such a fun and memorable experience, and I’m really happy I got to learn about Minhwa from her. I truly hope more people support her and her beautiful art. I would absolutely recommend this class! ❤️

This class was great! There were no other participants so it was like a 1:1 class and I learned so much! The teacher is amazing at providing feedback, as well as helping with the painting process. I've always been interested in minhwa so this was a great opportunity!

Great experience making a traditional folk style painting! instructor was very nice and helpful
