What started as a casual stroll back from Kiyomizu-dera turned out to be the highlight of our Kyoto trip! ✨ The vibe here exceeded all expectations—super friendly, relaxed, and uplifting. Big thanks to Kaz and Sosuke: not just skilled coaches, but warm, patient, and genuinely passionate about kyudo. Even as total beginners, we felt encouraged every step of the way—with constant smiles and clear guidance. And guess what? I actually hit the bullseye—and got to take the target home as a souvenir! 🎯 Professional, heartfelt, and totally worth it. If you’re near Gion, don’t miss this joyful experience—it’ll make your whole day! ❤️

This was honestly one of the most fun things we did in Kyoto. The entire team was so knowledgeable and really good at what they do. We got dressed up like actual samurai, which was awesome, and the sensei of the studio was incredibly knowledgeable. What surprised me was how quickly they actually got us shooting well. Within probably 20 minutes, my wife and I were both consistently hitting the targets. The whole experience was just so much fun. They did a really good job of making it entertaining while still actually teaching you what you were doing. I literally left thinking I might want to get into archery now. If you're looking for something fun and unique to do in Kyoto, I highly recommend this. 10 out of 5!!!

Ich hatte im Urlaub schon mal Western-Style Bogenschießen gemacht und wollte dementsprechend unbedingt Kyudo ausprobieren. Der Rest der Gruppe hatte sich etwas verspätet, weswegen ich am Anfang Einzelunterricht hatte. Es wurden zuerst die verschiedenen Arten von Kyudo erklärt und dann die 5 Positionen, die man vor dem Schuss einnimmt, mithilfe von Videos und Bildern erklärt. Dann wurde ein Schuss demonstriert und dann durfte man schon selbst ran. Ich bekam ganz viel Hilfestellung und ich habe ganz viele Pfeile mit Unterstützung abgeschossen. Jeder schießt mit rechts, das hat trotzdem gut funktioniert, obwohl ich Linkshänderin bin. Es war eine ganz tolle Erfahrung, kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!

Our family had a great time learning Japense archery! Miku was great and very patient teaching us how to properly hold the bow and arrows and how to shoot. Would definitely do this again!

Really good fun and very interesting to learn about kyudo. Very fun challenge as well, and I’ll certainly be back if my wish is fulfilled

That was amazing! I wish we’d had more time in Kyoto so we could’ve come back again! 😭💕 I came with friends and was nervous I’d be too clumsy to learn—but totally overthought it! This place is perfect for beginners. The staff were super kind, clear, and down-to-earth—making the whole lesson fun and full of laughter. 🌟 All instructors are real kyudo practitioners who genuinely care about sharing Japanese archery tradition. It’s not just a sport—it’s a heartfelt cultural experience. Great for couples, friends, or families—you’ll leave with beautiful memories. Just go for it—you’ll love it! ☺️

it was fun but the class was done by a video. the ammount of value does not help with the service plus the address they have in the website sent me at the back of the building so I was lost for almost one hour looking for the place. I would not recommend it
