I loved the spa and the reception venue!

Great place was here for my sons wedding party Staff are great loved the new venue they have on site great place

Lovely stay, great sporting facilities, food was wonderful. Only little downside was having to pay to use the spa even though we were staying the night and had booked a treatment. The spa was also a bit too busy. Would stay again!

We held a private event at The Belfry with around 100 guests and booked over 10 hotel rooms. While the events team were excellent, the hotel itself was hugely disappointing. Despite booking multiple rooms, the hotel refused to offer a group rate, yet Expedia was cheaper than booking direct. Check-in was painfully slow, even though we arrived over an hour after check-in opened. The biggest issue was being given a room with **no window**. Charging over £180 per night (and up to £350 the day before) for a windowless room is unacceptable. We had to complain before being moved the following day, meaning we still spent our first night in that room. The rooms are basic and nowhere near luxury standard. It felt more like a Premier Inn with a golf course than a luxury resort. There was no air conditioning, only a small fan, and the blinds didn't block the daylight. We also weren't told where breakfast, the spa or other facilities were, despite being part of a large group booking. There was no room servicing, fresh towels or turndown service during our stay. For a booking of over 10 rooms and an event of 100 guests, it was disappointing that the hotel wouldn't even offer the host a complimentary room upgrade. The spa was packed with screaming children during half-term, with no adults-only sessions, making it impossible to relax. Overall, The Belfry is significantly overpriced for what it offers. Aside from the excellent events team, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The Belfry is a beautiful hotel set within stunning green landscapes, making it a fantastic destination for golf enthusiasts. We stayed in a Superior Terrace Room, which allowed us to sit outside, watch the golfers, and enjoy the lovely views overlooking the lake. It was a peaceful and relaxing setting. The only downside was that our room didn't have a minibar or fridge. For the standard of room we booked, this felt a little outdated, especially for a hotel that welcomes guests from all over the world. When I called to request a bucket of ice, I was told there would be a £4 charge. Considering there was no fridge in the room, this seemed quite expensive for such a basic request, so I decided to go and get some ice myself instead. Aside from this, we had a wonderful stay. As it was my partner's birthday, the hotel kindly gave him a complimentary birthday drink voucher, which was a thoughtful gesture and a lovely touch that made our visit even more special.This version is suitable for a hotel review and sounds polished while remaining fair and constructive.

The rooms in the older part of the hotel need a bit of attention and they have no air-conditioning and the fans they provide were very dusty and did not seem to do anything

It’s been a great stay and breakfast was brilliant. Nadine at reception was great as needed half an extra and she was considerate and arranged up to an hour which was appreciated.

Hotel staff for amazing food was able to cater for coeliac without any issues!! only thing missing was a fan or air-conditioning in the room!
