Hotel Hong at Jonker Street

I was asked to pay local taxes when I checked in, due to long flight and tires, I could not disagreed I had paid when I booked, plus I have to wait to talk to owner next day, finally I have to following up with the staff contacted owner the next day for my refund.it was wasted my time on my journey a bite. please shown detail on the payment what kind of taxes I paid.

The woman at the front desk was very nice and did a very good job of checking me in and making sure that everything was gonna be OK

Stayed in triple room. One queen and one single bed. It was clean but very small. The online photos of this property is not accurate. The sheets and towels are discoloured. The window shade is not blockout. You can hear your neighbours in the next rooms through the walls. Wifi doesn’t work most of the time. Except in the lobby and on the roof. Fan, aircon and bathroom hot water work well. Plenty of toiletries provided. The common areas are untidy, dusty, run down and not maintained.

Hotel Jonker is in a good location, everywhere is walkable. Some lovely cafes on jonker street are not too far. Staff are friendly and kind. You get what you pay we needed a basic room for 2 nights at a very reasonable rate.

Walking distance to many good eateries n attractions.

It is nearby Jonker Street and the room is clean. The manager also treat her quest quite nice. The only downside is the rooftop didn't maintained well and the corridor also seems dirty. But it is still quite the budget hotel if you're looking for
