Although this is advertised as a 5-star hotel, my experience did not meet that standard. The room was spacious, which I appreciated, but the overall quality, cleanliness, and facilities fell well below my expectations. The level of cleanliness was particularly disappointing and did not reflect what I would expect from a 5-star property. The room cooling system and controls were also not intuitive and were difficult to operate.
I understand and support efforts to reduce plastic waste. However, I was surprised that no complimentary drinking water was provided through any alternative means. Many 4-star hotels offer water refill stations, filtered water taps, or glass bottles in guest rooms. At this hotel, guests were required to purchase their own water, which felt inconsistent with the standards typically associated with a 5-star experience.
The breakfast was acceptable, but it was neither exceptional nor memorable. It was adequate, but certainly not at the level I would expect from a hotel of this rating.
The only significant positive was the location. The hotel is within easy walking distance of City Hall MRT, making it convenient to access transportation, shopping, and nearby attractions.
Overall, while the room size was good and the location was convenient, the low standard of cleanliness, limited amenities, lack of complimentary water options, and overall experience made the stay feel much more like a 3-star hotel than a 5-star property.
