We paid for the waterpark and all slides were closed Friday-Sunday and we weren’t given a refund. We had serious concerns about safety and basic service at this property. During our stay, a fight broke out in the breakfast area. It was loud, aggressive, and unsettling with kids present. No staff intervened in any timely way. Or ever that I saw. The only protein at breakfast, boiled eggs, were cracked and all covered in a brown substance.
When we tried to reach the front desk, the line was too long to realistically wait in, and repeated phone calls to the hotel went unanswered. We also reached out through Expedia and got no response there either. As a last resort, we called Wyndham’s corporate customer service line — they documented our complaint but told us it could take up to a week for someone to follow up by email. A week is not an acceptable response time when guests don’t feel safe in the moment.
For a property advertising itself as family-friendly with a water park, the lack of any responsive staff or management presence was a real problem. We won’t be staying here again, and I’d think twice before booking based on our experience.
