We had the most amazing stay at the Castle Inn to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. The spa facilities were spacious and clean and we felt so relaxed there. The staff were friendly and super helpful - I brought a small shop bought birthday cake with me and the chef turned it into a work of art which was amazing and much appreciated by my daughter. We booked a classic double but were given a lovely big room with views towards the hills, space for comfy chairs and a very nice bathroom with a bath! The breakfast was really well done and we were looked after so well in the restaurant. If I was being picky, I would say the dinner menu wasn't that extensive so we only ate there one evening... but what we did have was cooked beautifully and was tasty. All together though, it was a brilliant stay and I would love to come back again soon.

All the staff, especially those in the bar/restaurant area were excellent. They were very accommodating, warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was very good and reasonably priced. Room was lovely, although you do need some level of navigational expertise to find your room and your way around the hotel!

The hotel was ok. Customer Service needs improving in most areas. Hotel looking a bit tired.

Clean room, helpful staff and a nice breakfast selection. Slightly understaffed at times, but Liam saved the day. A nice guest lounge but not large enough for the guests wishing to enjoy an after dinner drink, chat or the garden view. And the bar is poorly positioned next to the kitchen and the far end of the dining/breakfast room.

Perfect place to stay. The hotel is great, staff very friendly and accommodating, breakfast was brilliant. The spa is a very nice added bonus. Pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi - just what you need after a long hike! Also has EV charging - £30 flat rate. I would 100% stay here again.

The room was very spacious and functional with lots of coffee, tea, soaps and towels. The room was quite clean but there was limescale build up on some parts of the bathroom. Staff was helpful but we had a breakfast

Lovely hotel in a fabulous location.

BEAUTIFUL location, ideal for walks and driving around the Lake District. Very well equipped spa/resort hotel with plenty of FREE parking. Nice restaurant, VERY large room with nice view. Full bath to relax in after a day's hiking.
