Convenient location, big clean room, beautiful restaurant with very tasty dishes, and the best part - very nice, helpful and friendly staff. If I will go to Lisbon again I will book Carmo hotel again.

We loved our stay at this hotel. Honestly, everything was wonderful from breakfast to room, to location. I am glad we chose to stay here

My only problem was the super strong sewer smell especially at night time. I felt sick because of it. The staff was super careful cleaning and disinfecting as much as they could.

The property is in an excellent location. Very centrally located. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful! It was a perfect long weekend.

It was an amazing place to stay. Staff were extra friendly and seemed to go out of their way to make our stay memorable. Breakfast was very good with quite a bit to select from. You know they really give the rooms a good cleaning as they found an envelope with pins in it under the bed when they cleaned up and contacted us the next day to let us know and what we wanted done with them. We didn't use the Wi-Fi so can't comment on it. Great location for seeing the sites and close to the train station. Would highly recommend it.

The add on breakfast was definitely not worth it. It was overpriced and poor quality. It was so bad I complained to front desk and they eliminated the charges for that. Kudos for the staff Staff was helpful although they could use more training on concierge services . Their tourist info was a bit lacking

A little lost in the translation in particular about setting up a private tour. It was only a private driver, no tour

Our stay was just perfect, from check in to the minute we left. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Clean, well kept property. Very comfortable room. We loved the detail of the handwritten welcome note, the courtesy bottles of water in the room and the Nespresso coffee machine. The daily breakfast buffet that was included was top notch. And let’s not forget the special Fado evening in the dining room. Superb! If you are looking to stay in a most historic and quaint part of Lisbon, this should be the hotel for you. Word of caution; good walking shoes require. This is the hilly part of Lisbon. Expect steep streets and lots of stairs. We hope to return soon!

We were originally given a room that look like it still hadn't been upgraded even though the photos on Expedia showed upgraded rooms. We did have to sleep there overnight before they changed us to an upgraded room which made a big difference because the old room had white walls and very dirty carpet
