The hotel was old and in need of a good clean and paint. Our room was everything but clean, old carpet and worse still stained mattress. Never again.

We paid for a compact room, which was very small (not an issue) - but the one we got had a really pronounced slope to the floor, when on the bed it felt like you were going to roll off, and the toilet was also sloped... I asked reception to change the room, they were very good about it and gave us quite a large one on the top floor, which was great for us. The air con in the rooms worked really well.

The bed is the most positive thing as it was so comfortable, the breakfast is mediocre, the rooms are smaller than shown in pictures. The AC was powerful which was also good.

We stayed on the 4th floor out of 5 and were street side, given it was a Friday night. I was not aware of any street noise. We booked due to the location for the motorpoint arena, which turned out to be ideally placed, less than 10min walk away. The hotel staff were welcoming, our room was large and clean. It was ideal for what we needed. We didn’t use any of the facilities or eat there. We parked at Lace Market NCP, a 5min walk away and were given a 20% discounted parking rate by the hotel. Overall perfectly placed , clean and would use again

Lovely hotel and very helpful staff. Unfortunately forgot the extra bed for our room but that was rectified quickly. There were some clothes moths in the room unfortunately and the shower door was broken but beds were comfy and the breakfast was amazing. Would stay again. Great location
