We had a lovely stay - from the drive in down the beautifully manicured yet rustic driveway, the quiet sunny pool, the delicious poolside lunches and evening cocktails under a canapé of trees. The food here is one of the key reasons to book alone. The rooms are of a generous size, are well air conditioned and have all the modern amenities expected.
The only disappointment for us was booking a Junior Suite to celebrate our Engagement and being given a room with twin beds - even though we booked a double room and made it clear we were celebrating our engagement. I was told by the receptionist that unless I made a special request for a double bed I couldn't be offered one and was told "this is the room you are getting" - I asked if they could make the bed into a double, like many hotels do, and didn't hear anything back. The staff are quite causal, which suits the boutique hotel vibe, but when your paying on average 350 Euro a night you should expect a high level of service, that at times was missing.
This aside - most of the staff were fabulous (especially the restaurant and pool side waiters & housekeeping team).
I would absolutely return here as it was a truly relaxing holiday, but maybe wouldn't pay for an expensive room as it didn't offer value for money.
