This was our second stay at the hotel. Our last stay was last year and this year we were happy to find the hotel did huge renovations on their facilities which includes great swimming pool area (with infinity pool) and restaurant overlooking the beach.
However, the food quality at the new restaurant was not as good as before. Breakfast was better before renovation. During dinner, our waiting time was very long (around 30 mins) for fried noodle and fried rice and the noodle tasted bland. We complained and the waitress offered us to change the menu. Since we didn’t want to change, she excluded the order from the bill, which we appreciated very much.
Our second concern was the cleanliness. Room was clean in general, however there were few stains on the sheet. I asked housekeeping to change it and their response was quick.
Third was the mattress. We stayed in twin rooms and one of the mattress’ spring had started to squeak.
Overall, I like the hotel. Even though it is an older establishment, it has beautiful ground, felt homey and service from the staffs was great.
I hope the management would pay attention to the issues above, not only invest and focusing on improving the physical look of the hotel but also the food quality and more importantly the room (e.g. mattress, sheets, towels, etc). Thank you
