Lovely rooms, garden, views

A beautiful hotel located on a quiet side canal. The courtyard was a peaceful and serene hideaway, perfect for an afternoon Prosecco. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately we were too busy to enjoy the spa, but it looked beautiful as well.

Loved breakfast, Thank you Lorenzo and Danielle, so helpful. Location good and quiet if you don’t mind walking. Bad- Air conditioning They kept saying they would turn the AC down. NOT! We asked 6 times and then gave up! Temp in room would not go below 79 degrees. Loud fan was only thing that kept us cool. Too Expensive for this! Over $700 per night!! Furnishings were awkward. Not enough storage for our week long stay. Would not recommend. Head front desk person not helpful.

Exceptional boutique style hotel. Great location. The staff is super friendly and helpful. About 3 minutes walk to the water bus. Beautifully decorated rooms.

Excess Venice is an absolutely wonderful property with so much charm. We were pleasantly upgraded at check‑in, which made our stay feel even more special. The private garden is beautiful and gives the hotel a peaceful, intimate atmosphere you don’t often find in Venice. The service at breakfast was truly over the top — warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. A fantastic stay from start to finish.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Excess. We had a lovely room overlooking the garden where we could hear the birds along with the church bells. Lorenzo assisted us with a delicious breakfast each day. We would definitely go back.

Excellent property and incredible staff.

Beautiful hotel, walkable, and kind helpful staff. We loved the breakfast and how fresh it was too. My only complaint is that each room doesn’t have its own tempature controls so we were often hot in our room and the spa doesn’t offer any services such as massage, facial, etc.

This is a dream property for those seeking a romantic, local Venice experience! We were treated like royalty from arrival to departure. The staff is exceptional, the location is wonderful, the property and room was immaculate and well appointed. We are already thinking about when we can return. Highly recommend!
