Our villa stay was exceptional from start to finish. The property was impeccably clean, and every detail was thoughtfully maintained, which made the experience feel both comfortable and luxurious. The staff were incredibly attentive, consistently going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect throughout our stay. The services provided were outstanding—especially the massage service, which was one of the best we’ve experienced. Transportation arrangements were seamless and reliable, making it easy to get around without any stress. Communication was excellent as well; the team checked in with us multiple times to make sure all our needs were met. Overall, it was a truly relaxing and well-managed stay. We will definitely be coming back to this villa.

The Villa That Stole My Heart Waking in our thatched-roof sanctuary to the symphony of nature – birds calling, water flowing, leaves rustling – was like being gently pulled from the sweetest dream. The infinity pool became my sacred space, where I'd float for hours watching clouds dance across the sky, the water so perfectly still it mirrored heaven above. Every corner of the villa whispered thoughtful details from the hand-carved woodwork to the fresh offerings gracing our doorstep each dawn. To the Angels of Pondok Sebatu Villa You've created more than a luxury retreat – you've built a temple of tranquility where weary hearts can mend. I arrived exhausted from the world, and left with my spirit lighter, my smile easier, my faith in beauty restored. The scent of your incense still lingers on my clothes, and every time I close my eyes, I'm back in that paradise where time stood still. For anyone seeking not just a vacation, but a homecoming for the soul – this is for you.

We had an excellent stay at Pondok Sebatu. We stayed with our teenager in the 2 bedroom villa with private pool, which was very affordable in $AU. The location is idyllic if you are looking for a less touristy, more authentic experience of Balinese traditional life. We were nestled in the hills in Central Bali, surrounded by small properties with rice fields. We saw local wood carvers and artisans selling items from their homes and shops. The facility is very pleasant with warm, responsive and kind staff who can quickly arrange anything from a day tour of Ubud to an airport taxi to laundry, a massage or room service via a quick whatsapp request. Local drivers, spa staff, cooks and concierges are employed and there is a real sense of community building at the Villa. I highly recommend this villa to anyone with a genuine interest in combining learning about other cultures with being “spoiled” with much needed relaxation, in beautiful surroundings.

This property was really good and safe staff were very nice and also good area to go walking around the village to see how the people really are…. The only thing was the bed was uncomfortable but other than that it was great.

I was in awe of nature's lush green curtain comprising verdant rice terraces, palms, and tropical trees. This is the backdrop to Pondok's individual contemporary 'Joglu' rooms. It is a dizzying beauty that transfixes one's gaze. From the pictures it looked a wonder. For real it is transcendent. Perfect for a retreat. Perfect for rest and relaxation. Perfect to ponder in. And Perfect to wander in. The location requires one to be steady on foot, and reasonably fit. Otherwise one has all to be nourished by the environment. Pak Denik, the Manager was particularly welcoming, and the Front of House staff, Misses Yogi. The views are restful and remain in mind.

The valley view was amazing. The room is clean, and bed is comfy. The location is 30~40 mins from ubud city centre, but it gave a peaceful and quiet vibes, away from the big crowd. The villa provides free shuttle to ubud city centre (departure 10am and pick up 3pm) daily, or you can rent a motorbike to ubud city centre if you wish. The only downside was the swimming pool at night. The lights were insufficient so it looked dim overall. Not a good idea to swim after dark when you couldn't see what inside the pool at night.

Very friendly staff, reception extremely helpful. Beautiful location and very quiet. Excellent food and very attentive service. Unfortunately the bedding smelled a bit musty and the internet obviously limits the data volume. But we'll be back!

Nice hotel with excellent service. Room was nice, ample and comfortable with a great view to the rice fields. Hotel restaurant was great, all the food was of excellent quality and tasty, service was great. The Spa was perfect we got several Balinese massages which were perfect after a long day of walking. Hotel also arranges tours and transportation with local drivers, all of them were excellent, knowledgeable, friendly with great cars.

Loved everything about it and would highly recommend it to my family and friends. Great views and super chill.
