Nice staff and great hotel

From the moment we arrived, the staff stood out for their exceptional warmth- every interaction felt personal, welcoming and attentive. What truly made our stay unforgettable, though, was how the owners went above and beyond when we experienced an unexpected misfortune during our trip. They didn't just offer sympathy; they took immediate action, offered practical help, and guided us through every step. Their care and commitment to their guests are truly remarkable. We are grateful for their kindness and support, and we would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place where you are truly valued and cared for

Staff were super friendly, room was clean, beds comfortable. Hotel was a 10 min walk from old town and neighbourhood was clean, safe and quiet. Our room was on the second floor and had a great view of the street and buildings across the way. Would recommend it to friends as it was clean and comfortable, staff was responsive, hotel was in a great location and was affordable. The only warning I would give is that the building is in need of maintenance. Check to see that things are in good working order before unpacking. Upon arrival it was obvious that our bathroom sink and shower drains were plugged. The sink drain was leaking onto the shelf and towels below, and the shower did not drain at all. However, the staff was responsive and superintendent came up immediately to drain/temporarily repair the sink. Be aware that the hotel is only open for check-in from 5-10pm. Paid parking is available on the streets around the hotel.

We did not use the parking lot. However the staff was very friendly and helpful. They suggested places to visit and we really enjoyed their suggestions. The room was clean. Simple decor. Very confortable. We were walking distance to the historic centre. We had a great stay.

The only thing I don’t like is that there’s nobody there at night

Great value for the money given the location and size ( plus balcony). Professional and helpful staff. Good location, close to two subway stations.

Very good value just one weird thing A member of staff walked into our room without knocking enquiring whether we needed toilet paper while my wife and I were in bed. I am sure an honest mistake but strange to let themselves in when the room was clearly occupied …

Hotel Montchapet was a great find in visiting Dijon. It's on a quieter street a few minutes from the centre ville and the start of the route de la Chouette. I arrived before check in and the clerk let me drop my baggage off and then immediately printed off a city map and showed me various places of interest for me to explore on my first trip to the city. When I got back that evening, the staff checked me in quickly and efficiently. The room itself was comfortable and fairly spacious. The bathroom shower was a little cramped for me, but that's par for the course in French hotels. Generally a lovely stay in a nice location. Would come back.

Quaint hotel in Dijon. Very friendly staff. Beware of the step when coming in: The lights are very strange and I fell on the floor with all my luggage! Otherwise, all is perfect.

The Front Desk person, I did'nt get his name... he was so friendly, so helpful and accommodating. The 5pm check in is a bit off putting as there is no one at the property prior to 5pm, and you have to stand outside till someone comes at 5pm to open the door.
