Room not perfectly clean upon arrival, previous guests’ food and plastic bags left in the drawers in the bedroom. Carpet not clean at all, slippers essential. Gym and sauna difficult to locate. Gym is a few dumbbells and not even a treadmill. Food was not great, it was ok but there was little choice (particularly at dinner) and staff were incredibly slow at refreshing dishes. Waited 15+ mins for more of the one dinner option (tomato pollock), rice was also empty for about 10 minutes. Equally slow at refreshing breakfast dishes so it was just a case of being lucky with timing. Multiple dishes often empty at the same time, so could not get hot breakfast or fruit. Dinner hours also incredibly short at 6-8pm. No cleaning service to the room, which I didn’t find essential anyway. However, it is frustrating to have to ask for bins to be emptied on a 5-night stay - at least one clean should be scheduled for a stay of that length. Hotel is well-located but pricey for the service received. Didn’t pay for premium view but literally got a view of a wall, not even nice street view. Worth it if you can get a good price, otherwise look elsewhere.

Very pleasant staff. Great location only 10 minutes walk from bus station and close to all city centre activities. Comfy bed and good shower. Lovely view from our room. Very nice breakfast. However, the lift was out of action and had been for over a month. If I had known this I would have changed hotels. My husband has problems walking so it was difficult for us to walk up and down to the 2nd floor. We were offered a room on the first floor but it would have been a small room which we didn’t want. The room has nowhere to store clothes at all apart from 3 coat hangers and a shelf I couldn’t reach. No pegs in the bathroom. The complimentary dinner is poor quality, more like care home food and the cake in the afternoon is cheap factory made cake. We stayed in a Home hotel in Sundsvall, Sweden and the food was SO much better. It’s a shame they are not the same standard.

Fabulous hotel, staff were great, very helpful and we also received complimentary coffee and cake after checking in!

Just okay and really outdated. Super overpriced for what it was. Location was great and shower worked really well. Still no washcloths which I find very annoying. And what’s up with all the fake plants? They make the property look really outdated

Unfortunately the Hotel failed to advise us of a hotel worker strike that had been going on for several weeks. This hotel actually was closed, and we didn’t find out until we showed up at the front door. Very disappointed that the hotel did not advise of the closure. They moved us to a sister hotel, which was an acceptable alternative.

Very friendly staff - but the hotel had some renovations that impacted the overall experience

Wonderful room overlooking the harbour Staff were lovely So enjoyed Tromsø I plan on visiting again in 6 months & using same room in hotel

My room was very small and cramped

Breakfast was great with good variety of quality food. Fantastic view of the harbour. Surprisingly quiet for its location and very little internal noise. Luggage storage available before check-in and after check-out and comfy seating in lobby to hang around.
