Overall, this resort offers good value for the price. The property is older, and you can tell from the exterior and surrounding areas, but our room was clean, comfortable, and in great condition.
There were a few things that could be improved. The hallway floors didn't seem to be cleaned regularly—I noticed the same piece of trash in the hallway from the day we arrived until we left 10 days later. One elevator was out of service our entire stay, so the wait for the other elevator was often very long, and we usually took the stairs.
The pools were clean, but some of the pool towels had a strong odor. I also wish the adults-only pool and bar stayed open later than 5:00 p.m.
The Italian restaurant was our favorite. The buffet at La Palapa had excellent service, especially from Nieves, who was always friendly and attentive. However, after 10 days, the buffet became repetitive, and the food quality could have been better. The bar staff also provided excellent service.
The Michael Jackson show was amazing and the highlight of our trip. The other evening shows were mostly dance performances. We would have liked more variety, such as comedy or magic shows.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return. With better maintenance, more food variety, and improved entertainment, this resort would be even better.
