Hotel is situated in middle of Banff so excellent location for everything. Staff were very kind and helpful. Hotel is very, very dated- air conditioner was very loud - very small pillows on bed. Very expensive for what you get - will not stay there again.

Good bed & bedding. But the pillows smelled like BO. Restaurant/bar on site was great! Excellent location. Parking included. I would stay here again.

Will definitely stay at the Ptarmigan again if in Banff. Location, relative price, and amenities in the hotel were great. The staff were extraordinary in accommodating our requests. The bed was not terrible but mattress felt like it needs replacment soon. This was the only reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars. We had a 2 queen with balcony. We did not eat at the restaurant.

Good location, clean and comfortable room, helpful staff, summer rates are high and should include breakfast but it doesn't.

The room was clean and functional, but was dark. The lighting was not very good. The bathroom was also okay, but small.

Perfect location to explore downtown and it's all at a walking distance from the hotel. Also, they provided free transit pass which came in handy to travel to a few important spots like the Gandola, hot springs, Lake Minawanka, etc.

Like: the location, the flowers in the balcony. Don’t like: dark rooom, small pillows.

Room design was unusual but overall very good

I felt little congested, it was more of a classic style.
