Before our trip, I read several negative reviews about this resort but decided to give it a chance. Unfortunately, many of the concerns mentioned in those reviews matched our experience.
The staff was not very friendly, and several employees seemed uninterested in providing good customer service. Reservations were required for all of the restaurants, which made dining less convenient than expected. The sales representatives were also very persistent when promoting membership packages, and the adults-only area was restricted to premium members.
The food was okay but nothing memorable, and the drinks were not as good as we had hoped. The check-in process was also disappointing. There were issues with our reservation that took time to resolve, which made for a frustrating start to the trip.
We also did not receive the room type we reserved. We had booked a king-size room with a view, but were assigned a room with two queen beds. While the staff eventually moved us to another room, the view was obstructed and did not match our expectations.
The activities offered by the resort were limited and not particularly entertaining.
Overall, the experience did not live up to our expectations. While Puerto Vallarta is a beautiful destination, I would choose a different resort if I visit again in the future.
