The proprietor is very polite, and understood when we left immediately after checking in. This is a defunct college, repurposed into a hotel. I literally had to fill out a college application form to check in. Our room was shocking; there was not room for my husband and I plus two suitcases to stand, let alone sleep. The bed is a small double, and hard as a rock. There was a toilet next to us but no shower. I didn't see towels either, and obviously never travel with them, so I'm not sure what I would have done if we stayed. Everything is dirty and water damaged. The location is great; we ate dinner across the street, then collected our things and went to a proper hotel.

If your not familiar with hostels, your in a for a bit of a shock. There is 12-15 rooms that share 3 bathrooms. 2 break areas with a fridge and microwave sink etc. The dishes and some food are communal. Be aware sharing is not required but there is little space to put things in your room. The bed was small and thin more like a mat, not a traditional mattress. It was very firm. Pillows were rather hard as well. The heat was not working in this room but it had a space heater, that seems typical in Europe. The shower and bathroom areas could use more cleaning as hair. shaving residue and toothpaste was in the sink and shower. Dirty dishes in the break rooms. Paid daily housekeeping would help. The establishment was a little rough around the edges as a whole, but if you’re on a tight budget it will meet your needs. Just takes a little getting used to. It takes a lot of independence and adjustment.

The property is both hard to find and is also not properly sign-posted on how to find them. The communal bathrooms were not properly cleaned and also some of the doors to said rooms would not close. The bedroom itself was as bad. Almost every surface was dusty and walls were disgusting.

Basic accommodation. Clean bathroom. Bothersome noise sometimes inside and sometimes outside.

Cleaner shower area and need up dated
