The apartment was clean. The air conditioning keep us cool.

Overall I really enjoyed my stay. I’ll start with the positive - the apartment itself was really clean , spacious and had everything I needed. The location of the property is perfect for exploring Porto. I stayed during Sao Joao and this was definitely a good street to be on as it was close to the party but a little quieter. The only slight issue, which is why I marked it down, was the check in. As my flight landed in the evening, had messaged the property at the time of booking , and they advised the receptionist was on til 10pm. I even checked the property information a couple of days before my trip and was still listed as check in til 10pm. So imagine my surprise when I turned up to find no receptionist. I called the number and the lady was helpful , and gave me instructions to retrieve the keys from the safe. However it was very unsettling as a solo female traveller , when the check in wasn’t as advertised. The next day (when I did the check in formalities) the receptionist told me that they had changed the time a couple of months previously - however I had no communication at all. She said they have no way to contact customers directly (when booking through a site like hotels.com) but that was confusing when I had exchanged messages. I think if you book this property , and you are landing later, it might be best to call them directly to ensure you get the correct information. All that being the case, I would still consider booking again.

Great location. It was very clean and roomy

Nicely located. Metro close by but central enough to walk to pretty much anywhere. The room was very nice though I felt the a/c could have been better. It was an unusually hot few days and it's just a preference to have a chilly room. There is no 24 hours person at the desk so you pin code into the building.

The location was great and felt very safe, and check in was easy, but the communication was slow. We did not have a way to use the Murphy bed which we had intended on using (it was locked), tried to reach out for help, and never got a response.

Kitchen sink and small stovetop too tight and was a challenge to use. Small shower roughly 30" x 36. Otherwise, all worked well, very nice window overlooking the street below.

Pros: - great central location, short downhill walk from metro or short, slight uphill from train station - very clean and studio apartment spacious with fridge, microwave, 2 burners, kettle - amazing water pressure in shower - bed is very firm which was a pro for one of us, con for the other - elevator/lift very convenient - friendly staff - welcome small bottle of port was very kind Cons - construction on attached building next door makes for a very loud 7am alarm on weekdays - wifi drops regularly, requiring you to log back in - no truly comfortable seating. Couch was very shallow and very firm, then hard kitchen chairs - bed is very firm which was a pro for one of us, con for the other - room has AC and full windows that open, but the room was consistently kind of humid. Not a huge issue, but noticeable - minor point, but after the first two complimentary coffee pods and tea bags, we were told we couldn't have any more. If these were offered daily it would be very appreciated and would save guests having to go find the right pods to buy
