We were greeted by a friendly receptionist on arrival, but upon entering our room we found a large amount of brown liquid with the appearance and consistency of diarrhoea or mucus in the bathtub. We immediately contacted reception, and a cleaner attended, appeared shocked, took a photo, and cleaned it. Despite the seriousness of the issue, we received no apology or gesture of goodwill.
Later, we enjoyed drinks by the pool and dinner in the restaurant. The staff were friendly, and the food was excellent.
As all charges were billed to our room, we attempted to settle the account when checking out at 3:00 a.m. for an early flight. We were told the system was unavailable, so payment would be processed later and an itemised bill emailed to us.
The bill we received was confusing, with different prices charged for the same drinks and a dinner total higher than the amount I had signed for. I have since sent three emails requesting an explanation, copies of the signed receipts, and clarification of the charges, but have received no response. The lack of communication and poor handling of both issues has left us extremely disappointed with our stay.
