Property was a nice quiet space away from the party scenes of Cancun but close enough to still have a wonderful time. The amenities in the hotel encourage a cultural immersion atmosphere which allows you to learn about the island, its people, and the history of their behavior patterns (we loved the sunrise walk). Pilates was intense! Somethings to work on: the spa had a non relaxing smell that I would not try given the smell. Only one restaurant open on Sunday night is unacceptable for an all inclusive resort. It was my husband’s 40th and Victor made it up to us by making sure the last night was memorable! Don’t forget to bring insect repellent!

Loved riding over on the boat! Beautiful resort and great rooms. Service was wonderful in restaurants, honestly wasn’t impressed with gal in coffee shop. She seemed put out when getting your coffee and nobody was ever in there. Very very quiet… no beach walking unfortunately. Food was outstanding in my opinion.

We love the resort and so grateful to the management and their team. Total luxury in every sense. We have been sharing our wonderful experience with family and friends. They are planning their next vacation at Almare. Total bliss in paradise. Thank you for having us. We definitely recommend this resort. First class in every sense…

The staff was very nice and so friendly, so professional and helpful a specially: At the Pool bar: Karim and Erma! At the beach service Claudia At the Bogo: Ivan At the roof top Sea Salt: Edward At the front desk- Jesus - he was the best and help us a lot! My husband was not happy with Lizbeth at concierge, she was not willing to help him and was not professional, what makes him upset a specially we came to celebrate his birthday, but I am not going to put less stars just because of one person - human factor maybe she was tired that night. Jesus helped a lot! Any concerns about service was taken very seriously and was quickly addressed by Jesus! Guys very hard workers ! Security beach guard, Irwin - he helped us with all info around the island and safety rules ! Every year I am taken my husband on his birthday to all inclusive and this time he liked so much the resort that we definitely will return!

Beautiful hotel that offers a true sense of relaxation, with a nice beach, great drinks, and fresh food. I encountered some unfriendly staff members, but most are friendly. The boat ride to the hotel takes about 20 minutes, and the hotel vessel was on time.

almare truly is a beautiful resort. We loved relaxing by the beach, on the balcony of our room, or even next to the pool. The food is very good, though options are limited. The best places were the food truck for lunch and the pool bar restaurant, all so good and best service. Guacamole was so good. Drinks weren't great if you drink the alcohol. Everyone was friendly. Staff always said hello and smiled. The boat ride to Isla mujeres was quick, which was nice. Great to not have to be on the public ferry for sure. And the captain was extremely nice. We took a molcajete class, an excursion to the gorgeous cemetery and church. And we took part in the mixology class where we made a delightful cocktail. We love it when we are able to experience things at the hotel itself. There were several activities we would have liked to do, but we had other things going on off-site during those times. Lovely time. beautiful property. Got Montezuma's revenge because we couldn't get additional water in our room. Which was too bad. And none of the bars or coffee shop had bottled water either. So, getting water outside of ordering in a restaurant was a bit of an issue.

We had a very pleasant stay for 5 nights. The room and the view was superb. The pools were properly sized and clean. The beach was quiet and private. The staff could do a better job cleaning the seaweed near shore and in the sand. The most disturbing events happened at dinner times. The staffs were over worked and under educated on how to get people timely to their tables and hot food delivered. We waited 45 minutes with empty unclean tables just waiting. Very frustrating and very slow. The best food and service was at the pool bar and kitchen. We ate there the most due to the better service and better food selection. For the price I would not go back due to the service.

The staff did not make the bed or change the towels on Sunday. I advised the desk at ~7pm Sunday. They asked if I left the 'Light" red or green. I advised I had no idea there was a switch and would they please attend to the matter. She said Yes. When I arrived after dinner ~10 pm, the bed and towels had not been taken care of. Disappointed.

This was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had in my life. I told the resort that my wife is pregnant and asked if the room would be ready on time. They said it would and encourage me to show up to the resort as early as possible. The room was not ready for almost 2 hours until after our check in time. They refuse to be helpful throughout this whole process, and once we checked into the room, there was no hot water throughout the duration of our stay instead of giving us a new room. They made excuses about how they were booked when they clearly weren’t, if I can book another room online in the same resort, then they’re not fully up to capacity then they had technicians coming in and out of our room for 3 1/2 hours. Afterwards, when their technicians were wearing their shoes all up in our room and in our shower, they didn’t even send anyone to clean the bathroom. I would never recommend anyone going to this resort. Expedia is also refusing to help with our dispute despite me being a platinum member and never complaining about my stays ever.
