Bizarre check‑in experience. I’m not sure if the gentleman on reception was new or just having a difficult afternoon. I had booked a one‑night stay for myself and my partner after a concert at The O2 — we’re local, but didn’t want to travel home in the heat and crowds.
I arrived first to check us in, but was told that although he could give me the keys, he couldn’t complete the check‑in or let me sign the contract without my partner present. This was despite the booking being in my name, fully paid on my card, my ID being verified, and a one hundred pound deposit taken. I questioned the policy as it seemed unusual, but he insisted.
When we returned later that night, a different receptionist told us he’d heard no such requirement and confirmed we were already fully checked in.
Aside from that, the stay was fine for one night. It was expensive (£204.45), but typical for the area. The room’s stand‑up fan was a bit wobbly, so it was quite warm during the heatwave. Overall acceptable, but I doubt we’d stay again.

The core issue was how hot the apartment was, and the fans not sufficient to cool the flat. However I recognize the night temperatures is beyond their control. What ruined my stay was at night once you opened the windows to try and cool the bedrooms, tenants, other guests are constantly smoking outside the door which filled our room.

I had a great stay at Marlin Apartments Canary Wharf. The apartment was clean, spacious, and well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is convenient for Canary Wharf and nearby transport links, making it easy to get around London. Overall, excellent value for a short or longer stay.

Amazing apartment at a very good price. The apartment itself was excellent - the service however is poor: Communication prior was not good, they didn't respond to my questions about parking. Check in was a joke, one person who clearly didn't know what they were doing and couldn't speak very good English, the other two disengaged and not friendly- not organised and very stressful!

Rooms do not have AC instead you are given a fan , which isn't sufficient when it's 31 degrees outside.
Water pressure was low in our room so we could not shower until after 2pm despite reporting the issue at 10am.
The room we were given was on the ground floor and did not have an outdoor area therefore we were unable to use this to dry our clothes outside in the warm weather. The photos of the rooms make it look like every room as some outdoor space. Washer dryer supplied was not good quality, therefore we had to try clothes inside on a rail which wasn't good considering the compact space.
Also, if you are given a room on the ground floor the door opens directly onto a public street, which is highly populated. I would expect some security between the room entrance and the public street in an aparthotel.

Excellent flat in Canary Wharf. Perfectly suited for a family of 4 like us. Clean, spacious, with all necessary amenities, including complimentary Nespresso coffee pods. Very polite staff in both check in and check out

Very Clean rooms, the staffs are so warm and friendly. But the check out time is 10:30am is too short I dont like it at all it could have been like 11am or 12pm.

Terrible check in nearly 2 hrs late due to housekeeping issues. All that was needed was a text message to let us know that there has been a delay. We did eventually speak to the manager after checking in who couldn't apologise enough when she called round to see us with gifts for the inconvenience & a free late checkout & said it was her top priority to sort out housekeeping so that this never happened again.
Despite the check in issues the apartment was clean, spacious, stocked with everything we needed for our 2nt stay. Toiletries, kitchen Items such as tea coffee & sugar. It was located about a 15 min walk from Canary wharf tube station . The area was very safe, lots of security around the area. We would definitely stay again.

Clean apartment, included everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. Staff very welcoming on arrival, really good value for money, would recommend.
