We had such a great stay here, the hotel borders Sorbonne college which means the street is basically closed to traffic other than Deliveries or cab services... There are three great restaurants right on the street in front of the hotel to choose from for everything from pastry to pizza.. The room was clean, cozy and well laid out.. you are one street from the Patheon, a few blocks from Luxembourg gardens and 15 Minutes from Notre Dame... Thoroughly enjoyed and definitely will return

We had 2 rooms, one for our kids and one for us. Check in was ok. A lot of bugs and flies in the lobby the entire stay. Both our rooms had flying bugs in them that we had to kill too. Also heard another guest complaining to the front desk about a significant amount of hair in her bed. The AC for our kids room worked fine. The AC in our room the was not working and we did not sleep at all the first night and they did not have another room to move us to. They had a technician come the next day and repaired the AC and it worked the second and third night. Select zhotel promised a credit for the cost of the one one rooms for one night as compensation. When we were checking out, I asked for the credit and they said I would have to get that through Expedia. We spoke with Expedia and they said Select hotel was denying that the AC was broken which was a 100% lie. Expedia ended up giving us some bonus cash to use on another trip, but much less what a credit back from the hotel for a night would have been. Location of the hotel was good/convenient.

Amazing hotel in a great location next to the Sorbonne. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful and did everything to ensure we had a pleasant stay. Our charming room on the top floor had exposed wooden beams and a view over Place de la Sorbonne. Paris was in the midst of a heatwave while we stayed, fresh water in the lobby was always welcome when we returned and the air conditioning kept everything delightfully cool. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed the clean room, great air con, friendly staff and perfect location.

I enjoyed my stay, good location for sight seeing and lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. Just steps from the pantheon and notre dame. My room was spacious and had a nice bathroom and comfy bed. Some of the areas were a bit dated but all considered I would definitely stay here again. Staff was very helpful!

Great little hotel next to the Sorbonne. Easy access to Luxembourg GRE station.

The staff at the hotel were very nice. And the AC this time of year was working quite well in the room throughout the heat wave - a blessing in Paris in July. Unfortunately, their Internet networking devices had outdated security protocols (probably a decade old). ALL of my device's WiFi wizards warned me not to connect to their "unsecured network" because it was using substandard security protocols - so all traffic would be exposed. If you need to log into your work server or do any online shopping or banking, consider staying elsewhere. I looked at Executive level two rooms, and one of them had a much larger TV than the other, but for a four star hotel, I would have strongly preferred/expected that the TV's in all rooms would be a smart TV's with apps for Netflix and Amazon video, etc., or at least allow me to cast those services from one of my devices, but there was no support for either option. There were two English cable news channels, but the signal for one of them never worked. Like many hotels in Paris, things are rather compact in the rooms, especially the bathroom and separate toilet stall, but the materials were nice and the hot water pressure quite good. The bed was firm and linens were nice. The continental breakfast was quite decent. I spoke to the new manager and he said he is going to look into the internet security issues and ask the owner to consider internet hardware upgrades and smart TV's with casting capabilities. Ask ahead of booking!

I'd stay again. Reasonable option at edge of the Latin Quarter without the noise and good cafe's just outside the door.
