Very comfortable hotel. Good beds and linens, nice staff fun amenities including karaoke.

Great location, right next to the Keihan Railway Kiyomizu-gojo station. You are also a 10-15 minute walk to the heart of the Gion district as well as 15-20 minute walk to the Nishiki market. The double twin room we had was a typical sized room for Japan, bathroom was on the smaller size, but would not detract us from staying again. Staff was helpful, air conditioning worked great for the warm, humid days. They offer several complimentary experiences such as Matcha tea service, happy hour and free udon noodles. We did not have a chance to try any of these out though.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! The location was perfect with a bus and train stop very close. We didn't take advantage of the breakfast that was offered but we did enjoy the welcome drink and daily happy hour that was offered. The laundry in the building was extremely convenient and easy to use. We found the staff to be very helpful and kind. We also took advantage of the free shuttle service and it made getting to the main train station very easy.

Good location but air conditioner was awful. It was in heating mode and we had to call three times to reception for them to correct it. We even had to go personally and ask them to come up to the room.

Room was not clean. Coffee stains on floor and on table. I don’t think sheets were fresh. I am just shocked. Last 16 days have been travelling all over Japan and never seen an unclean room. And those hotels were cheaper. Breakfast and greeting staff were the only positive.

Check in was disorganized. Had to charge our credit card 3 times because the hotel host did not charge the right taxes two times. The floors and walls in the hotel were dirty and stained. My hotel room smelled like someone broke a bottle of cologne in it. In the hotel room it was loud from a busy street, I wished I would have read that in a review. Overall, this establishment is not up to par with the competition and quality of other hotels in the area for the same pricing.
