We loved our stay at Cara and found the room with its balcony above the pool quite delightful. We also had a delicious dinner and two excellent breakfasts in the restaurant. Two minor quibbles: there was no charger for our devices and there was only one towel hook in the bathroom. Otherwise, everything was great. What a beautifully designed boutique hotel!

Room was tiny and pool was less a pool but a fountain. Pictures were deceiving. Also was in a rough area you wouldn't want to visit in the evening. Staff was lovely and accommodating and the food at the restaurant was great.

Great property and great staff

I really like the concept of this hotel, and I think they’ve done an excellent job with the branding and overall marketing. The staff was also incredibly kind and welcoming throughout my stay. That said, I was disappointed by the value for the price. My room was very small, especially for what I paid, and there wasn’t even a chair or seating area. The bathroom also lacked basic conveniences, like a hook to hang a towel. I was told the front desk was available 24/7, but on my first night I wasn’t able to reach anyone when I called, which was frustrating. I understand this is a boutique hotel and that the experience is meant to be different from a traditional hotel. However, given the cost, I expected a bit more in terms of comfort and amenities. Overall, while I appreciated the friendly staff and unique atmosphere, I honestly feel I would have gotten better value for my money at a regular hotel.

A charming well-maintained place to stay.

The room was clean and quiet, and it was located in a safe and walkable area. The restaurant was also good. Overall, it was a great stay.

All the staff was welcoming. I don't usually travel alone, but I felt very safe and taken care of. It felt nice not to have to wait in line for anything like one might at a bigger hotel. The food at the restaurant was really wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well.

Love The Cara! I've stayed here and dined at the restaurant several times, and every visit has been a great experience. The location is excellent, the rates are fair for the area, and I always appreciate the safe, convenient parking options. What really makes this hotel stand out is the staff. Cheyenne at the front desk, along with Dani and Bree in the restaurant, consistently go above and beyond. They are friendly, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Their hospitality is refreshing and something that's becoming harder to find in Los Angeles. I always look forward to coming back!
