This was our fifth stay at the Netherwood, having first discovered it in 2022. We have stayed in different (sea view) rooms each time and none has disappointed. The hotel has a lovely country house feel, having originally being a Bolton businessman's country residence, with lots of original features (wood panelling, grand fireplaces, stained glass windows, etc). They had no availability when we tried to book last October, so we had to stay in another hotel close by, which frankly paled in comparison. This time, it was good to get back to our usual warm welcome from the friendly staff, and the delicious food (both at breakfast and dinner). Highly recommended if you like a hotel with character.

Absolute beautifull hotel great food and brilliant views slightly overpriced but still excellent 5 stars from me

We stayed in the Annexe which is a short walk from the main hotel. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was large but the shower is over the bath. We had a view of the sea and a balcony with outdoor furniture. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had half-board. The menu was varied and the dinners were excellent. Breakfast was help yourself with an extensive buffet. I couldn't work out how to use the Spa but it seemed that you needed to plan ahead and book in advance.

A beautiful old property with stunning grounds and views, friendly, helpful staff, and an old fashioned wood panelled interior. The public areas and dining area are lovely. I had a single room with comfy bed, plenty of tea/coffee & storage. England suite was well equipped. l was a little surprised at the marks on the paintwork around the bed for such a high quality hotel, but this didn't affect my stay

Beautiful room over looking the sea views. Breakfast was amazing very tasty and good ingredients. Will definitely be coming back for another visit.

Fine for a one off night, but nothing more. We arrived unaware of a noisy wedding booking with door slams late into the evening. Though potentially because we were near the lift. Light pours in from the hallway so struggled to sleep. Fan was not enough to keep cool in the warm. Dirty streaks and areas of poorly maintained bathroom. Spa closed at 5 so we couldn’t even use that. No water supplied in the room so had to buy it at the bar. 1 bottled beer, 1 peroni and 2 waters came to a bill of £17 which is find a little ridiculous. Every hotel should offer water/tap water free of charge in my opinion. Water pressure was terrible so shower and handwashing was not enjoyable either. Being honest, very disappointed.

The views, hotel is set on the cliff looking over the bay. Hotel was really very old and unique. Staff were very nice and helpful. We stayed in an annex a short winding path through the lovely gardens We had breakfast everyday and dinner twice in the hotel all lovely would recommend eating in.

It’s very friendly stuff and clean and I notice is quite dark and it’s looks like Xmas lights around and very cosy but I notice used the spa is extra cost I thought included the room and breakfast too, and I stayed for one night is quite expensive

Loved this hotel , right by rail station which was important for us, lovely relaxing hotel with lovely views over Morecambe bay, with friendly staff

Nice stay, room was only cleaned once not sure why. Nice and clean staff friendly and helpful nice food in restaurant, internet is hit and miss in bedrooms but not too bad in the lounge
