We were taken aback by the small size of the room.

We liked it because it was near the station, and the family room had space for our family of five.

Loved the location - right across from fish markets which is what we wanted. Nice Firm mattress on which I slept great, small room and step up Japanese Toto bathroom. Would stay again..,spend your money on food as Hakadate has the best seafood I ever had and I live in the ocean!

Property was convenient for walking to all the bay area. I found that it was a bit tired and the room needed refreshing.

Very old building and facilities. Room was very dated, very small and had an old, very dated apartment feel. My wife could not 'relax' due to the room. We asked the front desk whether there were any other rooms available but were told no, although the website still showed rooms as being available. We eventually left and checked into another hotel down the street. We were very disappointed in New Ohte and would not recommend.

Clean, but bed was hard and pillow very flat. Quite a good price, right opposite the morning market. Room service is provided, however you need to request it on your door. Which is fine, but we followed the instructions only to find out when we were back that they didn't do it! They just left a bag with new towels on the door and left a note that we hadn't requested it (they flipped the door sign to do not disturb) I wasn't too fussed about it as I only required towels but it did leave a bad taste

The place was amazing. The location is absolutely great, takes only 1-2 min walk from Hakodate Station. The hotel is center to iconic places such as Red Brick Warehouse which only takes 10 mins to walk. Many convenience stores nearby. The hotel allows both bag drop before check in and even after check out while you wait for your next train. The rooms smallness matches the picture. However it has all the necessities you need. Overall an absolute must stay for budget families/friends who want to experience Hakodate without ripping their wallets at hotels.

Good location, opposite to morning market. Just some walk to cable car too, so very convenient. Deco is old, but clean and large room.

Hotel is a bit old, but good location, just opposite to the market. Very convenient for eating and shopping. Also, it is quite near to the JR station, bus station. In front of the hotel, and at the back street of it, there are bus stops to and from Mount Hakodate, the famous place for night view. Hotel check out time is 10am, quite a bit early. Hotel has parking facility, but I’m nit driving.

Restaurant is closed on Tuesday, but you can have any meals at market less than 2 min walk from 6:30am. 5min walk from Hakodate station. There is nice jogging or walking spot cross over bridge 3 miles round trip with nice water views and Mountains which 100 m to start from Hotel.
