Quite noisy, the twin room is located in huts in common area. Toilets quite unclean. Showers disappointing.

The shower didn't work. I had to keep pressing the button, but still stopped after a minute. Not to mention no shampoo in the bottle. Do not book a private room. It's just a small space with thin walls in the middle of lobby. I arrived at 1PM. Asked if early check in is available. She said that the early check in is from 2PM. The locker had 7 euros minimum charge. (They even charge for renting umbrellas). I spent an hour at the lobby and asked again. She said the room is still not ready because I didn't request in advance. Well, I gave an hour. Wasn't it enough? They only have few private rooms. Anyways, after waiting, for only an hour early check in, I paid 14 euros extra. The room was smelling a very strong detergent until night. Maybe this place is acceptable for dormitory beds, but not for travelers who want privacy. And the location is little weird. Pay some more and find a hotel room. You will end up paying extra anyways.

Although I picked this room, I felt like I was sleeping in an orphanage for toddlers with pink everywhere, open bed concept, pink frilly things everywhere and pink nail polish to share. Nothing about this room made sense. The lockers could barely fit a purse, there were no hooks - oh yes, all the hooks were over one persons bed - no privacy, no room to walk around to change. The shower is one of those times push button, you essentially wash yourself with one hand while constantly pressing for water. The shower I picked didn’t really work. I stood there soaped up repeatedly pressing the button and nothing came out. And when it did, the water was scolding hot.

Affordable and comfortable stay for Amsterdam

The hostel location is very good. They also have a lockers inside and outside rooms and rent bicycles. My room was very good, clean, with comfortable beds. Staff was very helpful.

Great location (public transit, grocery store), felt safe, just what I needed as a solo female traveler!

Lovely room, great location, friendly staff

There is a coffee shop in the front of the hostel with snacks and great coffee. The staff was friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The showers were a bit temperature challenged but I made do. Walking distance to a grocery store and other attractions. Would stay again!

Was a great hostel to stay at. Close by the Metro and very easy to walk to the Museum district
