Best Western used to be the elite place to stay but although this hotel wasn’t bad.. we never had anyone come and clean our room so the rubbish piled up which wasn’t hygienic. There were rarely any staff about. One day the lift was out of order and we were on the top floor with two children and a buggy and the stairs aren’t the easiest to manoeuvre with a buggy. Plus you have to up one flight of stairs just to use the lift which doesn’t make any sense. Budget friendly-yes. Good for families, depends on the floor/room, I guess. But no amenities that you would expect from a hotel such as coffee/tea/kettle in the room. Plus overly hot at night and opening the balvony window door is a little unsafe with kids.

The room itself was ok, although no temperature control and no shelf in the bathroom. Staff was either unhelpful or non existent. No room cleaning through my stay and I could never find any staff to ask. Breakfast was basic. The room was cheap but it was not good value. Overall feeling very dingy and dated. Front entrance looks like a flop house.

Also needs to be more room in the dining area as a couple of times there was no room for us to sit and eat breakfast.
