Was really good staff very helpful

Definitely not a 4 star hotel, or maybe it was in the last. Room was quite dark and not well maintained. Nice bathroom

Location was great, I'll give it that. However, the property itself is shared with a residential apartment and another hotel. It's lacking any charm and the courtyard in the center is not well maintained. The navigation is tricky and doors often were sticky or difficult to open between halls. The room itself was large enough but had many flaws. While laying on the bed a piece of the outdoor balcony frame fell on me, hitting me in the head. There was also noticeable filth on the soap dispensers, and the handle to open our balcony doors (the only windows in the room) seemed to be pulled off the door/missing. This was especially frustrating due to the fact that we were staying in Amsterdam during a heatwave. Our room became incredibly warm with no ventilation and a pitiful fan system. Upon requesting fixes to these items, the staff offered a free breakfast and said they would send someone that day. When we arrived that night, we found the frame had been fixed and the door was cracked, but the handle was still gone, with no way to adjust the airflow or open/close it. If you are a solo traveler looking for a cheap place to stay with no frills it's fine, but I definitely won't stay here again.

The room was clean and spacious. Air conditioning worked fine and was a lifesaver during the heatwave that hit Amsterdam.

Good location

First room we had was extremely small and the wall paper was peeling off in numerous spots. Asked to tfr. And next room better.

Clean room very helpful staff

More like a fancy hostel than a hotel. E.g. peeling wallpaper, TV didn’t work, staff rarely around, etc. Also wasn’t notified beforehand that the restaurant, room service, and breakfast were closed, only found this out from the signs by the room.

they didn’t change the bedsheets the 5 nights i stayed, wallpaper peeling, super dark, but actually a nice place to stay

The staff are lovely and the location is great. You do get what you pay for in a sense that the facilities could do with maintenance. My tv was not working, some lights did not work, lighting overall was not great in the room but luckily it was sunny outside. The cleaner also did not replace the bath mat. The temperature system was quite useless. The room however is clean, the style is nice and the bathroom is lovely. No issues with the shower, bed was comfy, and room convenient.
