A good hotel overall,good location.good breakfast And staff nice (Decent for money.)

In check in rude man on desk was 15 minutes early and he was rude our friends room was ready i joked saying oh really and he was stern well check in is at 3 I wouldn’t mind but he didn’t even check wish I had gone to the young lady on the desk ! just came across rude then when I came to check in at 3.05 had to ring some one to check. Didn’t like the room view was terrible didn’t look like the pictures and mould in the shower which the shower door didn’t shut either quite disappointed have stayed before in lovely rooms

Hotel is a little dated, but clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. The main downside was my keycard would stop working every day so was having to get it re swiped daily even after keeping the card separate from anything else.

I thought everything evening meal abs staff, bar and staff, breakfast and staff. Reception and staff and my room. Would of preferred ground or first floor next visit

I'm confused by the 10/10 reviews making New Continental Hotel out to be the Hilton. The staff were friendly and accomodating, however the room I had was small, the beds even smaller, the decor dated, the curtains from the 90s covered in cobwebs, the carpet in dire need of a clean, the TV antenna didn't work, the bathroom very basic and most surfaces in need of a coat of paint of replacing. The single pane windows kept out no noise, which due to the busy road outside was very noisy with the local boy racers and motorbikes at all hours. On the second night of my stay there was a 'footballers presentation' event downstairs, meaning lots of shouting and swearing outside the window until gone 11pm, which wasn't great for my 6 year old. The room was also like a sauna, owing to no A/C or ventilation, except the useless windows. Breakfast was ok, and I just about got into the last parking space on the Saturday night. There are better options around.

We only stayed for one night but enjoyed it, reception were fast and efficient and helped us with an issue very quickly. Bar is small but got what you need and the restaurant was perfect for something quick like we wanted. Used the pool and gym while we were there and while the equipment was maybe a little dated it all worked fine. Worth remembering though it is available for public or members so can get busy at peak times. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff we excellent and and very attentive. Swimming facilities were great our kids enjoyed being able to swim the staff at the pool we also very helpful. Breakfast was okay very accommodating to orders but the food quality was low but good selection. The room was comfortable, we had an issue with the aircon but this issue was resolved quickly. I would have liked better amenity’s a small fridge in the rooms would have been amazing and better coffee facilities as I’ve had in other hotels. We had a great stay very close to the Plymouth Hoe and Barbican with plenty of eatery’s and shops.

Checkin staff second to none remembered us from last stay very polite and very afficient will defineltly stay there again
