Had issues with the construction that was going on and was very loud and I would not have booked this hotel if I was informed prior to booking that they are doing major renovations on the property

The room was a little out dated but it was clean. The ice machines in 2 buildings weren’t working but the clerk at the front desk was able to provide ice for us. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

Room was clean, they never came & cleaned our room though. A lot of construction going on & hard to get around the resort. The pool bartender was one of the friendliest guys we talked to the whole vacation. He gets a 5 star rating!

The Good: * The staff is absolutely wonderful. Helpful and kind. I hope management appreciates the them because they are holding everything together for the guests enjoyment during all the construction. * Location was perfect to Old Town Scottsdale for dining, shopping, art galleries. * The hotel offers a free shuttle within a two or three mile radius. Not Too Good: * The hotel is under construction, which we didn’t know, and it impacted every aspect of our stay in a negative manner. Truthfully, I wanted to leave after the first day but we paid in advance. Reimbursement would have been a nightmare. * The rooms are old and tired. Furniture falling apart, bathroom fixtures are old and rusty.

We had a pleasant stay at DoubleTree. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The pool area was excellent and a great place to relax during our trip. The location was convenient, and overall the hotel offered good value. Thank you to the team for making our stay enjoyable.
