Reasonable price, comfy bed, clean & parking was easy. However, extremely disappointed in a few other aspects that made our stay overall not good. Reception is only until 6pm on Weekends and they leave a phone and number to call for emergencies. On our last night at approx. 12am we started smelling rotten eggs and gas in our room. We immediately went to the front and called the number on both our phones and the phone they provide - we tried MULTIPLE times and no one answered and we even left a message and never heard back. We ended up having to call emergency services ourselves to come and inspect the room. Thankfully the reading was negative but the fact that their emergency line did not work and we were left to deal with this ourselves is unacceptable. When we went to check out the next day (during front desk hours) no one was at the front for us even talk to about this. With all the security cameras we also can’t understand why no one saw the 8 fire fighters that came into the hotel. Additionally, we didn’t end up in the room we booked. It wasn’t a downgrade but wasn’t like the photos online - the washer/dryer was also broken which was partly why we booked the hotel in the first place. The room we were placed in was an “accessible” room (which we didn’t need) however I’d like to note it is NOT wheelchair accessible and the placement of the bed and layout of the bathroom would not be accommodating for someone actually needing accessible room. Will be sending an email.

The room was great, large and very clean. Excellent harbour views. However the external environment is very run-down, possibly due to land subsidence on the seaward side.

We’ve stayed here regularly and it’s been ok. Unfortunately this time it was too disgusting to stay. Cockroaches, used toothpick next to the bed, dirty socks left behind. A musky smell in the room. We didn’t even stay one night. When we tried to communicate this at check out on Friday night, where we handed in the key, we unfortunately had a very disinterested person on the desk who told us to have a good day 🙄 we’re not after a refund, just letting the motel know. We usually stay here, several times a year, but this time it was too bad.

This is a quiet gem of a place. We stayed 5 nights in a suite with a kitchen and deck overlooking the harbour. Easy access to the Auckland harbour ferry. 10 minutes to the viaduct.

Nothing to complain

Helpful staff who allowed us to check in early as we were going to a wedding, room was spacious and nice to have 2 balcony doors to open for fresh air. Staff fixed our tv remote promptly and efficiently and were friendly.
