Great place. Great food. Calming vibes. This resort is not for turning up or getting wild. It gives a zen feel.

This resort was simply amazing! The property is so beautiful! Staff is so welcoming and accommodating! The food was excellent! We will definitely return in the future!

We really wanted to love the property. This was our 2nd time at Sanctuary, the first was during Covid but that’s another story The pros: It is a beautiful property with 6 pools. Our favorite is the pool in the castle- it’s quiet and on a hot day it is much cooler due to the breezes. If you are into a good time- you need to be in the main pool The staff are truly welcoming and professional. From the moment you exit your transport to the resort to you exit for your flight home. Our housekeeper Nancy and Daniel, our beverage person went out of their way to make sure they were accommodating our needs The wait staff are very hard working and friendly remembering what you like as they got to know you better We had 2 issues with our room and not only was it rectified promptly, the front desk followed up to make sure we were satisfied. The cons: food & beverage only 2 restaurants were open for dinner per day. ( it appeared the hotel was 1/2 occupied) Thus limiting your choices. the restaurants alternated being open, but if you were in a mood for a good steak and the steakhouse was not an option that night- you’d be disappointed The steakhouse was the best restaurant for us. The steaks were wonderful, tender and tasty. I would have liked to have a Bearnaise sauce, but I settled for the mushroom. The other restaurants just missed the mark with flavor. Not sure what was the issue, but just meh- the house wines could improved Unfortunately we won’t be back

The resort was consistently clean and smelled nice in the buildings. Although, for an all-inclusive experience I am a bit disappointed. The food options were limited and the service at the restaurants were good (mostly) but we had a few experiences where they were terrible. We went to Wok twice and both times we ordered one of the appetizers and both times it was not delivered to our table. It seems that the way the restaurants operate is very unorganized allowing for orders to be missed or the wrong items to be brought to customers, and worst of all it was incredibly slow. It felt like we had to dedicate 1.5-2 hours to each meal everyday because the service was so slow except for the buffet because that’s self serve. The entertainment team was great and I like the activities that were offered but for an all inclusive resort I was expecting more things to do and more activities to be offered. Additionally, in other resorts they usually offer sunscreen at the pools and near the beach, but not here. When we ran out of sunscreen and looked at the on site convenience store to buy more it was $47 for a bottle of sunscreen. We had to venture outside the resort for a bottle of sunscreen which the price of the cab and the sunscreen itself was still cheaper than $47. We overall had a good time and the resort was nice, but I would not come again or recommend to anyone else.

The Hotel is beautiful!!! The room was wonderful! Clean and lots of storage. The staff seamed overworked and made me feel like I am a bother. The food was less than average and not once were the 4 restaurants for dinner all open. Only one or two were opened each night and the wait was always almost 1 Hour. No choice on what you want to eat. You have to eat what’s open and when they have a table for you. Never experienced that in an all inclusive. Would not go back for that reason. The best thing was the pool. Lots of options since there are plenty of pools thru out the property and never had a problem finding a chair or gazebo. Swim up bar was great!!!

This is our third stay in eleven years. We love this property, the staff are amazing and it is a truly relaxing resort. Butler Emilio is like family, he’s incredible!! We always stay at the Castle, it’s a special place!

The staff were amazing. Our room was always clean. The pools were great.

The resort was nice however, when we booked we requested a king size bed. Even though the resort was not filled but was actually empty, they told us that they could not accommodate us and could only accommodate 2 queen size beds. As soon as you check in, they try multiple times to tell you they are upgrading you but in actuality they try multiple times to get you to purchase more expensive rooms and try to up-charge you. They don’t upgrade you. Prior to booking this resort, there was no mention that in July, the ocean water is brown and not swimmable due to infestation of seaweed. We would not have booked this facility had we known about the water. Although they tell you that they have multiple restaurants to dine in, they only open 1 or 2 restaurants on any given day for meals. There were very limited choices to dine. There was no entertainment in the evening other than watching tv at one of their bars. Also we requested a late check out for just one additional hour but even though the resort was empty, they said they would only allow a late checkout if you paid for additional late checkout fees per hour. No courtesy extended. The one positive side was the pool staff and waiter staff was very friendly and attentive.
