Dinners good and location quite and beautiful

Very close drive to Glacier Lagoon. Beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. Staff is very helpful. We were able to watch Norway and England match.

The cabin was clean and renovated, the only thing is if you visit during summertime, the courtains do not fully block the sunlight, and even with our masks was hard to sleep. The ambience and view is lovely! would love to have included breakfast, they had it for an extra price.

Staff at check-in friendly and helpful, Rooms are small but clean, very basic, good for one night stay

Nice stay

We had a great stay at Guesthouse Gerði in Mid-June. It was a great location to serve as our base for a few days as we explored the southeast coast if Iceland. We stayed in a five person family room in the older building and while the room was tighte, it worked perfectly for what we needed, comfortable beds to sleep in. The staff was great and we loved to stillness of the area.

Good location. Beautiful view. Nice cabin. Only the curtain is not blackout curtain that would be very useful during the summer season with almost 24hrs sunlight.

It's the cheapest one closest to Glacier Lagoon. They are doing construction right now. The dinner food was 5 star, the best part. The room, #18 was 2 star; pretty unattractive, no decor. It's 2026, felt like 1956.Our friends had one of the new cabins which was pretty nice inside. The shower water pressure was about 5 psi, pretty disappointed.

Very basic small hotel room. Not much space to put carry on luggage. It would be nice to have at least a mini fridge since there are no stores close, restaurants are expensive so I could put a couple of groceries for next day travel. We had dinner in the restaurant since there is nothing else really close by. It was pretty good. The shower curtain and towels were worn out a bit. Loved watching the sheep outside the window and free coffee/tea in reception area. We didn’t want to pay $24 a person for breakfast but it looked pretty good.

This is a unique property with a main building for check-in, the restaurant, and some guest rooms, plus additional rooms in a separate building and a mix of older and newer cabins. We really enjoyed our stay, though the layout was a bit confusing upon arrival.
