The outdoor private onsen was great, and the staff was very helpful on check in.

Loved having our own private onsen in the mountains. Walking to the bus to get places was straightforward and easy.

Loved it. Very friendly and helpful staff, but limited English beautiful and serene surroundings, nice room with great view, well priced. Lovely place. A little out of the way and tricky to find, but that’s part of the charm and serenity. View of Mount Fuji very nearby.

My room was clean and spacious. The staff are extremely kind and helpful but also very hands off, giving you lots of privacy and freedom. The space is quirky and cool! Definitely a unique place to stay with local character- no frills onsen open to guests and not trying to be something its not. I would definitely come back here if I am ever in Hakone. Thank you so much

Very cheap with private indoor and outdoor onsen. You will need to reserve but it’s very easy. Location is 20 minute walk from the tram or 5 minute walk from bus station. Very far up in the mountains will be very expensive taxi I would recommend taking bus or tram. Facility is not the cleanest and rooms aren’t the nicest but the price is very good for what you get. Only major complaint is the pillows which are just bags with rice lol.

Comparing the prices around, I guess we got what we paid for. This spot is like someone's house with 7 bedrooms. The best part about this space is the fact that they have private onsen for you and your partner to use base on a signup sheet. Other than that, I would not recommend staying here. If you are taking the bus with your luggage, stay clear because this spot is located on a big hill. The best route that google map will lead you to is from a dirt trail. Inside is old and nothing seems to be together. They had 2 onsen but 1 is constantly closed. It wasn't a bad stay, but I wouldn't be back.
