Room was clean, but well loved. The soap dispenser had fallen off the wall and stains on the walls.
Very quiet room - great for sleeping. Breakfast was amazing!!
Central spot and a roof top little pool to cool off!

Very disappointing stay at Catalonia Hotel 1864. I booked a standard single room for myself, but the room was extremely small and had a strong mouldy smell. When I complained to reception, instead of resolving the issue properly, I was told they could offer me a deluxe room , but only if I paid an additional €138 per night.
To me, this felt like a deliberate upselling strategy rather than genuine customer service. Guests should not be pressured into paying huge extra charges just to have a clean and comfortable room. Very unfair and opportunistic experience overall.

The location of the hotel was great. We walked to all the sites. The breakfast buffet in the morning had a good variety and was delicious. The hotel was quiet and clean. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Hotel is in a great location and staff was nice. Room was clean but small and really lacked a place to put luggage for 2 people. Bathrooms exceeded expectations. For some reason the key kept getting deprogrammed and the staff was unable to correct this. It resulted in me coming back to get a new key every time we left the hotel. They made it seem like it was only me but I saw another guest having the same issue. While this wasn’t a terrible problem it was an annoying inconvenience. The staff was apologetic about it. I’m not sure I would stay here again.
