Great for families and experiencing traditional ryoken. The traditional breakfasts and dinner were an amazing experience.

This hotel was better than expected and the staff was outstanding.

The most memorable place where we stayed during our vacation. The staff made us feel at home. The place is beautiful. The hotel is traditional and we got to experience more of the culture at this hotel. The sleeping arrangements, the dining, the interactions with the staff, the onsen.. all new wonderful memorable experiences.

really beautiful place. The dinner on the river was lovely.

First, the staff was lovely, kind and very helpful. However, the property was very old, not kept up at all, and very far outside of the city. It’s by a beautiful river, but outside of a seating area, there is no place to walk or enjoy it. The property smells of mold (if you are sensitive, you may need to pass). And there was black mold growing on the tub/shower. The breakfast was a beautiful representation of a traditional Japanese start to the day, however, and we were thankful to enjoy it.

Of the nine different hotels and ryokans we stayed at, this was our favorite place to stay. The location was gorgeous and the staff was the friendliest and most helpful we encountered. This location is up in the mountains so it doesn't have many tourists. We were able to to walk to three different nearby shrines/temples in about 2-3 hours and saw only 4 other people. This was the most relaxing part of our 2 week trip. The dinner and breakfast was exceptional but the staff and location is why we picked this hotel as our favorite place of our trip. I would absolutely stay here again. If you are looking for a place to relax in a mountain setting this is the place to stay!

The location is absolutely beautiful. The staff are awesome. We did the half board and we didn't regret doing this one bit. The selections of the meals were incredible. Service is 5 stars. Place is clean. We plan to go back during fall season.

Our stay here was excellent! The views of the mountains were great. The room was very comfortable - strong water pressure, fast WiFi, and great hospitality.
