My husbsnd and I had a lovely stay here for 1 night. We were checked in by Tess who was very efficient friendly and customer friendly. Nothing was a problem. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was individually cooked and offered a good choice from eggs waffle and fruit. The coffee was excellent. We loved the fire in the lounge plus the ambience of the hotel. Very well furnished with quality fittungs and in keeping with the style of the olde worlde convent building. We'll be back. Loved it. 😀

The Convent was a pleasure to stay at. The staff are fabulous, kind, thoughtful. The grounds are stunning. The restaurant, Circa 1876, was Michelin Star Worthy.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful historic hotel. The staff are the greatest asset, and provide genuine, heartfelt excellent service in everything they do. The team that looks after the rooms is also exceptional.
Having seen some other people’s reviews, I think you need to bear in mind that this is a building which is more than 100 years old, and it has been updated to a very comfortable and pleasant experience. But it is not a recent construction.
I hardly recommend the convent if you are traveling to the Hunter Valley
