The room was large and clean. Bathroom and kitchenette were great. We had room 1 which is on the lower floor, nest to the entrance and under the part were the owners live. The large patio doors are about 2 feet from parking and that is your view. The back of the unit is the owners back yard so there are two small high glazed windows. For privacy you have to fully close the patio curtains so you feel like you are in a bit of a bunker. We were only there for one night so not a big deal but I wouldn’t spend several nights in this room. I assume the second floor rooms had the sea view for the sea view motel.

Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

All was neat and clean. Really comfortable.

We had an enjoyable stay here. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The Bay of Islands is such a beautiful place. You need a car to stay here, because it is a 15 minute drive into the main township. I was a bit disappointed with the location because I expected it to be closer to the water than what it was, and what the photo suggested. This was minor though, because having a car obviousy made it easy to get to places.

A rustic cabin style property with large rooms and good sized ensuite. Several rooms available. Easy to find and well located. On a busy road ( no road noise) leading to the car ferry but with car spaces available. Room opened onto small garden with seating giving views of the bay. Room well equipped and clean. Owners lived above the property and we could hear them moving about. Hosts were friendly and helpful about the area.
