The door to the room needed to be kicked open--- wasn't working--- I sent videos and more to Hilton. Disgustingly dirty---- Actually I called in NYC Board of Health to review their hotel. If this helps---- I am NOT an uptighty-- I LEFT this site, due to emergency discomfort---They are definitely out of compliance with the 'fire department', due to doors not opening. I needed to stay one night, since too late at night to swith---to 'ANY HOTEL'--. THIS IS DESIGNED AS A YOUTH HOSTEL AND I SLEPT IN A RAIN COAT. PICTUES SENT TO HILTON. SANITARY AND HOTEL MAINTENANCE NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED.

Great hotel. Clean and accessible.

Great location and excellent shower in bathroom.

Overall it was an average stay. Upon checking into the room we had two issues. The first was a shoddy shower repair that at first appeared to be dried urine. Thankfully it wasn't. The second pertained to the terrace lock. It jammed occasionally and needed be closed a certain way in order to lock. The maintenance man claimed it was a child proof lock but I conferred with the guest next door with the same lock and they did not have any issues. It was clearly a mechanism problem with the lock that needs attention. I would also like to mention that the ONLY working ice maker was located on the 24th floor. My room was located on the second floor. A total inconvenience. Need to wash your clothes? Not here you won't, laundry room was out of service as well. I could expect this from a Red Roof but a Hilton facility? I was there for three days so no one there can say it was out of service for just one day. I heard many complaints about this in the elevators so I am sure others will mention it in their review. On a good note, staff was very friendly and appeared over worked.

This hotel was clean and most of the staff were helpful, but not all. Just one example, several people were waiting in line to check our bags when a man walked right in to the front of the line. The attendant took him first. I was appalled. There were at least 4 different families waiting first and it was obvious what he had done. When we arrived, the plumbing was not working and we had toilet issues most of the trip. When the employees were checking each room after turning the water back on, one employee walked right into our room. Thankfully, we were dressed. This was also the first hotel I have stayed in that did not offer us free water. I travel to NY a couple times a year and I am a Hilton Honors member, and still they charged us for water. Most at least have water in the lobby. I find this unacceptable. This is just an overview. I would not stay here again.
