The hotel is placed a very nice position - 10 min walking from the station. Room is fine, basic facilities are also ok. But maintenance house keeping is poor. If you are staying for 1/2 days, it is fine. But if you are staying for 3/4 days like my case, there is not much maintenance of the room and toilet. It is the most unsatisfactory part of my stay. No air conditioning is available though room has a system to control temp giving a false idea. It is little noisy because of its position on the main road, but i guess that is acceptable due to other distinct advantages. Gym is available making an important requirement for people like me. Breakfast is also ok. Besides it is budget friendly too.

Stayed here for the second time because it's clean, simple and within walking distance to the City Centre. The immediate area is a bit rough but no rougher than parts of other cities in the UK, just need your wits about you in the same way you do in Manchester/Liverpool/London etc.

The hotel cleaning staff during our stay were incredibly helpful and friendly. She made us feel very welcome. Everything you need is available, and the room is in good order and comfortable. The shower was very nice. Great location near to station and canals would stay again.

Really Nice and helpful staff and clean rooms. Beds were OK, not that comfortable. AC wasn't working and there was a club with a very loud crowd outside at the start around midnight then They left the club at 4.30 am and were so loud. I couldn't sleep after that .

Everything could has been good during this stay, but unfortunately the lack of air con was a real pity.
We were 2 colleagues in the hotel :
- My colleague had Air Con in his room, temperature was 21 degrees and very comfy for sleeping
- I was in another room with only Air Flow, but when it's 35 degrees outside, air flow is useless. Temperature was 30 degrees in my room, impossible to sleep properly and the real feeling that the staff could have done something as A/C was existing in the hotel...
I feel really disapponted with this stay and I must admit I will probably never book again this hotel because of this bad experience.
A pity for them because I am supposed to come every 4 to 5 months in Birmingham during the next 2 years...

Staff were helpful and very friendly
Breakfast was varied and of good quality
Room was a good size
Cons (but not surprising for a city)
There was a club very close to the property which was open until 4am and could be heard!

I complained about our room there was a leak through the shower head water splattering everywhere, we were told there’s no other room to be put in, we had to use towels 3 of them due to water going everywhere. The amount of noise travelling through corridors and other guests room was annoying. 34 degrees plus with no ac working properly. House keeping staffs tried to come in our room few times overall experience is below 1. We will not be coming back again.
